For the 40th anniversary since its launch in 1982, the 105 series gets its ultimate upgrade with Shimano's electronic Di2 shifting technology. Maintaining the series-typical price level, the precise shifting function, precisely tuned ratios and a reliable braking system thus become accessible to an even wider circle of road cyclists. Because in the tradition of its predecessors, the current 105 is also equipped with the top technologies – such as the wireless cockpit – and first-class features from the state-of-the-art Dura Ace and Ultegra series to enable their riders to discover the road anew, every single day.

The introduction of the Di2 shifting system in components of the current 105 series also ensures the FD-R7150-12 front derailleur that gear changes are even more precise and coordinated. The electronic shifting not only facilitates the change from the large to the small chainring and vice versa, but also reduces the risk of chain drops.

In addition, the programmed control of the chain guide with automatic trim function prevents the chain from rubbing, making riding and shifting more comfortable overall. The synchro modes – Full and Semi Synchro-Shift – which can be selected via the E-Tube app, also allow the communication between the front derailleur and rear derailleur to be controlled for an excellent, coordinated shifting experience.
