FAQ

When do i need to service my bicycle fork?

Bicycle forks, like other components on a bike, may need to be serviced periodically to ensure they are functioning properly. The frequency of service needed will depend on several factors, including how often the bike is ridden, the conditions in which it is ridden (e.g. muddy or sandy trails vs. paved roads), and the overall quality of the fork.

As a general rule of thumb, it's a good idea to have your fork inspected and serviced at least once a year, or more frequently if you notice any problems with its performance or if you use your bike frequently in rugged conditions. Service can include things like cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn or damaged parts.

It is also good to be observant for any signs of wear, such as stanchion scratches, oil or air leaks, or unusual noise coming from the fork.

It is always recommended to follow the manufacturer's instructions for service intervals and procedures.

How do I know if my mountain bike fork needs service?

For rear air shocks, bubble noise or little to no action from the rebound adjustment can indicate there's air in the oil, and the shock needs to be serviced. The fork or shock is losing large amounts of air or oil. This is typically caused by a damaged seal.

How do you know when your rear shocks need servicing?

No damping. You'd have thought even the most mechanically unsympathetic of riders would notice this, but it's not always the case.
Leaking oil. We're always surprised at how many people we see with shocks that are obviously leaking.
Adjusters not moving properly.
Leaking air.
Squelchy noises.
Bad vibrations.

Although products are aplenty but this will be the last time I buy here. I might buy a small item, still it is not an excuse. I enquired and then he replies in whatsapp but after I deposited and followed the procedure TWICE, he never bothered to reply.
